One must have a very narrow worldview to believe that self-satisfaction denies the need for God. Belief in God is not necessary to be successful, happy, and free of challenges, but instead, to be saved from the road to hell, by attaining salvation. The Bible teaches us that no one can make it to the Father in heaven except through Jesus.
The thought of heaven or hell seems to be a myth to some, probably because they haven’t seen the reality of God or the torment of Satan here on earth. The lack of realization or experience of something doesn’t deny its reality. This means, whether we like it or not, believe it or not, God exists and reaches His hand out to you to be saved.
John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
The consequence of sin is death, and Jesus paid the price for all our sins by giving his life for us on the cross. Being God, He also defeated death and the power of hell by rising from the dead. Jesus offers salvation to all who recognize their need for a savior and believe in Him.
While our suffering does not deny the existence of God, neither does our joy and absence of trouble deny our need for Him. We all need God, and you have a choice that can determine your eternity.
